I AM STILL ALIVE 4.12.2020

This is a Roman coin I bought in a flee market just outside Diocletian’s Palace in Split. I assumed that it would be fake as these coins were sold for 50 kunas each (just over £5) and something approximately 2000 years old should be worth more. But it’s most probably genuine, during the five centuries (I’m guessing 5) of the Roman Empire they minted millions of these coins and many have survived. This was a low value coin even at the time. It was a great feeling, standing in Diocletian’s Palace holding this coin. I imagine someone dropping it 2000 years ago and me picking it up.
