ONE SELF PORTRAIT EVERY DAY in 2020 : 151

So, I have been looking through my old photography stuff: I have found five rolls of B/W film that expired in 2015 and this point and shoot camera I used to carry with me. thirteen photos have been taken.

I don’t know how long it has been since I took those 13 photos but I can vaguely remember taking photos of the Heygate Estate being demolished, from platform 4 at Elephant & Castle train station.

I have googled and the Heygate Estate was demolished between 2011 and 2014 as part of the Urban regeneration of Elephant & Castle.

During this time, the café on platform 4 was open and run by a really nice guy and it was like a small shack café somewhere nice. Trains to Nunhead were every half an hour and I would always stress about getting to the station just in time for a train. For those few months when that café was open I did not worry about time, I would just get to platform 4 and have a coffee and chat and get on the next train.
