six months ago, maybe longer, on my way to what used to be my studio, I took a couple of wall-paper off-cuts that were outside a fancy interior design shop with a “please take” note on them. I wasn’t sure if to take them or not “I’ll never use them”, but their texture was so lovely, I couldn’t tell if it was paper or canvas. They took space in a corner of the studio for six months, maybe longer. When I had to move out of the studio I was quite ruthless and chucked loads of stuff away. somehow these off-cuts missed the cull. And then today, while searching for an idea …
