I bought this watch in the mid eighties in Porta Portese in Rome. It’s a 24 hour watch from the Soviet Union and has an outer ring that works at a World clock: you set the place where you are at an hour and then you can see what time it is in other cities in the World. So I am in London now and it’s 19:52, Лондон (London) is difficult to see but it’s between Женева (Geneva) and Дакар (Dakar) and I can see that it is now 15.52 in Нью-Йорк and 13.52 in Денвер and 00:52 in Ташкент. I have just checked my World Clock on my iPhone and I’m one hour out , it’s probably because of Daylight saving time. Anyway, I miss this watch and I will start wearing it again. The 24 hour clock always throws me a bit and it takes time to read the time and also, before iPhones, if I was waiting for a bus or something, I would sometimes spend my time deciphering the Cyrillic.
